On becoming a practicing photographer, I have come to believe that the most beautiful thing about art is making it.

My practice focuses on bookmaking and project photography. Utilizing a range of styles and techniques, and influenced by masters from many creative disciplines, I view photography as a reflection: my concern is less about a given subject, more my reaction to it.

I enjoy making objects. I admire craftsmanship. I anticipate seeing what happens when I try things. I wonder how I'll respond to others’ work with my own.

I’m exhilarated for the picture not yet taken.

“The real voyage of discovery consists of not seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
